The Holga Experience

Shanghai/Beijing 2008 is a series of photos taken film with a Holga camera. The construction of the Holga is all plastic and requires gaffer's tape to ensure there is little to no light leak. It barely has a focusing ring, and the shutter is "however long" you press it, AKA "Bulb." It is an ultimate test of my technical photographic and composition skills.

 

Each of these photos was a product of my mantra, Prepare for the Worst, and Hope for the Best (expect a terribly over/under expose photo, and hope for an image that I imagined).
